Contraception & Pregnancy Choices
Your body. Your decision. Full stop.
Your body. Your decision. Full stop.
The principle I work from is simple: bodily autonomy comes before everything else.
You decide what happens to your body, what risks you take, when, and why. My job is to make sure you have full information and real options, and then to support the decision you make.
There’s a wide range of reversible options, and most GPs can manage your day-to-day needs. Where a specialist adds value is in particular situations, complex medical histories, complications, difficulty with current methods, or needs outside what a GP would normally manage.
The most reliable approach is complete removal of the fallopian tubes, which I generally recommend over clamping, burning or partial removal, for three reasons:
The same principle extends to pregnancy choices. I believe women should have the agency to make decisions about their body and their fertility, including access to pregnancy choices care, where that’s the right path. We’ll work through it together, at your pace, with no judgement.
Call the rooms on (08) 9567 0454, we’re here 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
“If you’ve made an informed decision about your own body, that decision is yours.”
